EcoSunsafe™ Defense Plus (Ethylhexyl Triazone, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate)
A photostable, broad-spectrum UV filter complex that works alongside Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide to significantly enhance SPF performance. Unlike older UV filters, it maintains its protective efficacy throughout sun exposure without degrading - delivering consistent PA++++ protection from the first application to the last. Free from Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, and Avobenzone - the chemical filters most commonly flagged for skin sensitivity and hormonal disruption concerns - making it a safe choice for pregnant mothers, breastfeeding mothers, and young children whose skin and hormonal systems are still developing.
Zinc Oxide
A physical (mineral) UV blocker that sits on top of the skin and reflects both UVA and UVB rays. It is the gold standard in baby sunscreens because it does not absorb into the skin and has an excellent safety profile.
Titanium Dioxide
A second physical UV filter that works alongside Zinc Oxide to provide broad-spectrum protection.
Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid)
A deeply penetrating form of Hyaluronic Acid - draws moisture into the skin and holds it there throughout sun exposure, keeping skin hydrated, plump, and comfortable from application to reapplication.

SPF (Sun Protection Factor) is a measure of how well a sunscreen protects against UVB rays, the rays that cause sunburn and contribute to skin cancer. SPF 70 blocks approximately 98.6% of UVB rays.
PA++++ (Protection Grade of UVA) is a measure of how well a sunscreen protects against UVA rays, the rays that penetrate deeper into the skin and cause ageing, pigmentation, and long-term skin damage. PA++++ is the highest possible rating, indicating the maximum level of UVA protection available.

Apply generously — most people under-apply sunscreen, which significantly reduces its effectiveness. Most dermatologists recommend the two finger rule as a simple guide for applying the right amount of sunscreen to the face and neck. It means squeezing sunscreen along the length of your index finger and middle finger held together — from the base to the tip of both fingers. That amount is considered sufficient for the face and neck combined.
Yes. The formula is specifically designed for daily face use and layers well under makeup. Allow it to absorb for a minute or two before applying makeup. Having said this, we recommend that you ensure your makeup ingredients are safe for pregnancy.
SPF 70 PA++++ protection is one of the most important steps in managing melasma and many other conditions triggered by UV exposure. This sunscreen will not treat existing melasma, but consistent daily use is essential to preventing it from worsening. Pair with the Mother Serum for a more targeted approach to pigmentation.
If you are near windows or under artificial UV lighting, or in front of screens for extended periods, reapplication every 2-3 hours is recommended. UV rays penetrate glass and can contribute to pigmentation and skin ageing even indoors.
No. The formula is lightweight and specifically designed to avoid a heavy or greasy finish — making it suitable for oily and combination skin.
Our sunscreen for mothers does not leave any whitecast. If you notice any whitecast, it is due to physical UV filters. Please blend the product into your skin and it will disappear.
Absolutely. This sunscreen is suitable for teenagers and works equally well regardless of gender. In fact, the teenage years are precisely when establishing a daily SPF habit matters most — sun damage is cumulative, and the protection habits formed early have a direct impact on skin health later in life. As a general guide, children can begin transitioning from baby to adult skincare products from around 12-14 years of age, when the skin barrier is more developed and adult-strength formulations are appropriate. Before this age, the Baby Sunscreen is the better choice.
